About ‘Mill Aeolus in Vlaardingen’ by Rob Pols
Mill Aeolus stands on the Kortedijk in Vlaardingen and was originally built in 1790, but several predecessors of the present mill stood on the same spot.
In 1915 the hood, sails and scaffolding (the wooden circuit) were demolished and a bare hull remained. In the years 1954-1957 the mill was restored.

Mijn naam is Rob Pols. Ik ben in 2001 begonnen met fotografie. Eerst met de eenvoudige analoge camera van mijn ouders, een jaar later gevolgd door mijn eerste digitale camera. Dit was een eenvoudige compactcamera met alleen een digitale zoommogelijkheid, maar het was voor toen al heel wat! Tegenwoordig kun je met een beetje smartphone al snel mooiere en grotere foto’s nemen. De ontwikkelingen hebben wat dat betreft niet silgestaan!.
