About Rob Pols

Mijn naam is Rob Pols. Ik ben in 2001 begonnen met fotografie. Eerst met de eenvoudige analoge camera van mijn ouders, een jaar later gevolgd door mijn eerste digitale camera. Dit was een eenvoudige compactcamera met alleen een digitale zoommogelijkheid, maar het was voor toen al heel wat! Tegenwoordig kun je met een beetje smartphone al snel mooiere en grotere foto’s nemen. De ontwikkelingen hebben wat dat betreft niet silgestaan!.

In 2007 kocht ik mijn eerste digitale spiegelreflexcamera met een standaard objectief. Er ging meteen een totaal andere (foto)wereld voor mij open.
In 2010 kocht ik er een 18-200 mm zoomlens bij. In 2011 werd de eerste spiegelreflex vervangen door een nieuwe, betere camera.

Ik ben gaan fotograferen vanuit mijn passie voor tradiitionele (wind)molens, een hobby die inmiddels ruim veertig jaar in beslag neemt. Ik fotografeer molens in alle hoeken van Nederland, maar ook over de grens. In mijn vrije tijd ben ik vrijwillig molenaar en de molen die ik beheer is natuurlijk een perfect onderwerp om te experimenteren! In eerste instantie richtte ik me voornamelijk op het fotograferen van de buitenkant, later ging ik ook steeds meer interieurfoto’s maken.

Al in de periode van mijn eerste (compacte) digitale camera werden veel van mijn foto’s geplaatst in de Nederlandse Molendatabase, een website waarvan ik van 2004 tot 2008 fotoredacteur ben geweest. Een periode waarin ik veel heb geleerd over het selecteren van fotowerk en (eenvoudige) beeldb

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
