Sometimes it only takes a few images to make the centuries come to you. The grey tones of the medieval pillar and wall of an ancient abbey and cathedral. The abbey corridor where more than six hundred years ago the first monks walked immersed in their missals, Bibles and writings on their way from the abbey to the cathedral and back again in a perpetual tradition of chanting and worship. this has left its mark in the greys of the walls and the discolouration in the pillar.
