The Mauritius Church in Marsum (municipality of Eemsdelta), owned by the Old Groningen Churches Foundation, is one of the most beautiful medieval churches in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is assumed that the Marsumer church dates from the 12th century and is therefore one of the oldest brick churches in the province. The church stands on an excavated mound. The largely intact Romanesque church building is almost the only remnant of the church village of Marsum.
