About "Macro shot of a dragonfly"

About the artwork

The macro photo shows a dragonfly in impressive detail. In the centre of the picture, the delicate insect sits on a thin blade of grass. The transparent wings are spread wide and show a fine vein pattern reminiscent of artistically drawn lines. Tiny reflections of light are mirrored on the wings and emphasise their delicate structure.

The body of the dragonfly is elongated and segmented, in shimmering metallic colours - bluish, greenish or bronze, depending on the species. The large compound eyes, which cover almost the entire head, are particularly striking. They look like glass domes and show different shades of colour depending on the incidence of light.

The background is gently blurred (bokeh), which clearly emphasises the insect. The blurring focusses the eye on the sharp details of the dragonfly and gives the picture a calm, almost meditative mood.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
