Lupin (Lupinus) is a genus of the legume family (Fabaceae). The genus has about 200 species. In Northwest Europe only the perennial lupine (Lupinus polyphyllus) grows in the wild. This species was imported from North America in the 19th century.
Most lupines are purple, white and pink coloured, but yellow is no exception. They can grow from 50cm to 2m high.
