This abstract mixed-media artwork captures the energy of movement in a play of lines and colours executed in acrylic paint. The scratches in the paint and lines create an energetic image. This contrasts with the realistic figures and texts that make up the collages applied in several layers under and over the acrylic paint. The whole work is full of contrast, light versus dark, movement versus inertia, organic forms versus figures. An interplay between order and chaos in fresh blue and white, with warm ochre yellow elements. A dynamic and contemporary work.
The roughness and layering is also reminiscent of street art, or a wall where posters have often been pasted and graffiti applied.
