The Long Iron Bridge is a steel bridge over the Nieuwe Haven in Dordrecht. It dates from the mid-19th century. The photo was taken during a father-daughter photography day, a Father's Day gift from one of my daughters who is a hobby photographer herself. What strikes me about the image of the bridge is that the lines are so beautifully 'organised' and come together in the fence in front of the bridge. The glossy paint makes the bridge even more beautiful. The perspective carries you very far into the image.
I did the photo in black and white, because I think it accentuates the bridge's sturdy character. The striking street lamps and the facades of the houses across the street complete the picture.
