The Molendriegang consists of three windmills built around 1672 to grind the Driemanspolder dry. The mill sails are in the short rus position.
The early birds in the sky make the photo livelier. The photo was taken in late February with the sun rising, its light gently streaking across the water.
I was keen to capture the sunrise at this spot once, as I had heard it was a beautiful spot. I was there when it was still completely dark ánd very cold.
It is a very Dutch landscape with windmills, water, boats, polder, blue sky and white clouds. It makes me very happy when I can capture it this way. If you are passionate about the Dutch landscape, this might be a picture you want to have on your wall.
