I love trees and take pictures of them more often than I care to. There were only two trees on Matosinhos beach, but I liked this one best. The two trunks at the bottom coming together in a ball of leaves against the white sand of the beach and the blue sky. A still life of a lone tree on a deserted beach.
Matosinhos is a small town nestled against Porto. A perfect base to explore Porto and still enjoy the beach. The beach is the place to cool off after a long day at work or to surf or sunbathe at the weekend. It is the place where everyone gathers and where there is always a holiday atmosphere.
But on days when it storms or rains, the beach is almost deserted. The best time to take pretty pictures and get a breath of fresh air.
