During a city walk around Valencia, I took a photo of the orange trees you find throughout the city. While looking at the photo's, my eye fell on the yellow bicycle parked underneath. It was parked there, as can only be done in cities where hardly anyone cycles.
And yet Valencia is a city to explore by bike as well. That way, you can easily go from the old centre to the modern part of the city and enjoy the beauty the city has to offer. Although there are no bicycle lanes, part of the city is designed for cyclists and pedestrians, making it pleasant to take the bike.
This still life is an a-typical depiction of Valencia that still grabs and shows the atmosphere of the city. The pale pink colour on the buildings, the oranges you can pick and eat like this, the space there to walk and enjoy all the details.
