The picture shows the Evangelical Lutheran church in Londorf, a district of the municipality of Rabenau in the district of Giessen (Hesse).
It is a three-aisled neo-Gothic hall church with a 13th century west tower. It was built from 1861 to 1864 according to the plans of district architect Carl Wilhelm Chr. The building, commonly referred to as the "Cathedral of Rabenau", dominates the townscape and is a Hessian cultural monument.
I myself come from Londorf, so it makes sense to photograph such a building. Especially as the church is made of the famous Lungstein (basalt).
