It was on the wharf in Kirkwall, in the Orkney Islands in northern Scotland, that we came across these piled-up lobster pots (lobster pots). Lobster fishermen drop them, with a buoy attached, on the sea floor. Inside each lobster pot is a piece of bait to lure the lobster or crab. In the sunlight, they make a nice photogenic picture.
