About the artwork

Paxos. A pearl in the Greek Ionian Sea. Loved by many visitors who take good care of and love nature. Island lovers who love originality and total tranquillity. The brave little island once created by the Greek God Poseidon is neither spoilt nor overrun by mass tourism purely because there is nothing to be found in mass entertainment.

In Greek mythology, Poseidon is the god of water, sea, horses and earthquakes. He is one of the Olympian gods and the brother of the supreme god Zeus. The god is known for his rigid nature and for the trident (trident) he always holds in his hand. He gets the trident from the cyclopes (one-eyed giants) and is therefore the symbol of Paxos. Incidentally, the Roman equivalent of the deity is Neptune.

Since my first visit to Paxos in 1987, I ended up in the fishing village of Loggos. I have been going there regularly ever since. The island is small but offers a surprising number of fun and interesting sites. I was inspired there by the beautiful bays, olive groves, picturesque villages, abandoned mills and local cottages. The painting you see here concerns the little port of Loggos. On the opposite side, you can see the pier houses typical of Loggos. I wish you much pleasure in purchasing a beautiful reproduction of this work which can be ordered up to a large size.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
