This buzzard has a light colour. Developing the photo in black and white emphasises the light colour. Moreover, combined with the bare branches in the background, it gives a somewhat ominous effect. But at the same time, the buzzard looks friendly. On a wintry day, this buzzard landed less than 20 metres from me on a truncated tree. Probably looking for a tasty snack. The photo was taken in the Kralingse Bos in Rotterdam.
For me, the photo represents a personal breakthrough in bird photography. It was the first time I experienced the thrill you get when you experience a moment out of thousands. So in this case, a personal moment with this beautiful bird.
This picture deserves a nice place on the wall of someone with an affinity for birds, especially birds of prey, winter or autumn atmospheres and black and white photographs's. This picture will look particularly good in a colourful setting, but of course it will also not look out of place in an interior with more natural tones.
