About the artwork

What appears at first glance to be an abstract work of art turns out, on closer inspection, to be an intimate portrait of fungi in close-up. The soft lines, undulating shapes and warm earth tones reveal the undersides of mushrooms in stunning detail. The layering and repetition of the slats create an almost meditative tranquillity, evoking associations with natural architecture or a serene underwater world.

My inspiration for this work came from wonder at the hidden beauty of the small and often overlooked. In the forest, I discovered these fungi in the diffuse light of an early morning, a moment of silence when nature shows itself at its most poetic.

The atmosphere of this work is serene, almost mystical. It invites you to slow down, to look without haste. The message I want to convey is that beauty often lies in the detail and that nature can endlessly surprise us, even in the mundane.

What makes this work special in an interior is the soft, natural look combined with the graphic play of lines and layers. It suits both a modern minimalist interior and a warm, naturally decorated home, and has a calming effect in any room where it hangs.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
