About "Icelandic Abbey Road"

About the artwork

What you see in this work is the breathtaking geothermal landscape of Hverir in Iceland. The earth steams, bubbles and colours in warm hues as four hikers make their way through this otherworldly-looking backdrop. Their silhouettes stand out sharply against the rugged surface, almost as if they happened to mimic a moment from an iconic record: the Beatles' famous Abbey Road cover.

My inspiration for this work came from that very association. Amid this inhospitable, steaming landscape, I suddenly saw a human line bridging pop culture and untamed nature. It was as if the Beatles themselves, not in London, but in Iceland were making their crossing.

The mood of this portrait is both surreal and playful. On the one hand, the image exudes the mystical power of the earth: raw, pristine and constantly moving. On the other hand, the human presence provides a touch of humour and recognition.

The message I want to convey: even in the most unreal landscapes, humans remain small, yet meaningful. Our presence places an echo of culture and memory in the grandeur of nature.

What makes this work special in an interior is the contrast it brings: the warm earthy colours and steaming sky create dynamism, while the small human figures evoke story and smiles. It is an image that invites you to look, discover and reinterpret, again and again.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
