About "Inferno - Spectacular Kinderdijk"

About the artwork

Mills are typical of the Netherlands, and Kinderdijk is the most famous tourist spot to see them. The Netherlands, the land of tulips, mills, clogs and water: an image that has endured for centuries. But with climate change, that image will change: extreme heat and drought alternate extreme flooding: wildfires and flooding dykes.
What will the Netherlands look like in 25 years?

This work shows a spectacular explosion of colours, achieved by using a double exposure shot of two photographs. It gives the feeling of a scorching flaming heat racing across the picturesque scene. Like a solar flare between the dykes.

Kinderdijk is already photogenic, of course, but also one of the most photographed locations. But you never saw Kinderdijk's windmills like this before, this fiery image is unique.

Warm orange/red and cold blue tones dominate. From a distance, the work looks abstract because of these splashing colours, closer, details are experienced and everything comes into balance. Consequently, this picture looks best in a more austere, colourful interior.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
