About ‘Ilse's Golden Shore’ by Marcel Hechler

Actually, Ilse was just the beginning for me – the starting point of the long climb up to the Brocken. But I’d barely taken twenty steps past Ilsenburg when I stopped.

The water was so clear that at first I thought someone had gilded the stream bed. In reality, the bed here glows a warm rusty orange, and on this summer morning the light fell so softly upon it that the whole stream seemed to glow. If you look closely, you can make out the slender reflections of the beech trunks, which stretch across the golden bed like bright stripes.

On the left, the lush green of the August forest; on the right, a small sandbank with light-coloured stones – and in between, this unreal, warm glow. I sat crouched on the bank for a long time before I even thought of the Brocken again.

For me, the picture tells of precisely such moments: when you want to set off and the path immediately persuades you to stay. It carries a calm, warm atmosphere that wants nothing more than for you to pause.

On the wall, the motif best reveals its warmth in places where you can find peace – above the sofa, in the bedroom or in a reading nook, where it brings a touch of forest air and summer light.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
