About the artwork
This photo was taken as seen from the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls, which lie on the dividing line between Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. The falls are one of South America's most famous tourist attractions.
I was in Paraguay in 2022 during the corona pandemic and made a trip to Brazil to visit these magnificent falls. At the time, the water power of the falls was not as powerful as usual, and this allowed me to take a nice quiet photo of the falls. This moment of both a quiet waterfall and the corona time itself inspired me to take this photo.
The mood I tried to capture here is that of calm and serenity. The gently lapping water and the emptiness around the falls exudes this atmosphere.
The accompanying emotion is inner peace and contentment.
In the interior, these waterfalls give a sense of calm and the browns and greens give a sense of groundedness and health. Mentally, the picture on the wall gives a lot of peace.
