About the artwork

Our 'Lapland8Seasons'collection:

Everyone knows the traditional four seasons: winter, spring, summer and autumn. In Lapland, however, there are eight seasons.

The idea to create a Lapland collection arose in March 2021. In central Europe - Belgium - everything is getting ready for flowering, the green leaves are on the trees, while in Lapland (high above the Arctic Circle) there are no green leaves to be seen yet. Spring there is completely different from what we know in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Will you join us on this journey? The whole collection - Lapland's 8 Seasons - is the perfect work of art to enjoy and do so every season, eight times a year. I would love to hear which is your favourite season.

About this season: 'Icy winter'
This is the 1st season, an intermediate season, which falls between winter and spring, or the months of January and February. The days are short in southern Lapland but still non-existent in the north, the passage of time marked by the moon and the glow of the Polar night. You are treated to lots of snow and temperatures are truly freezing -20°C is normal - turning innocent pines into fantastic snow creatures and on clear nights you can enjoy the mighty Northern Lights.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
