Next to our hotel in Crete, Greece was a narrow path. A path where no one actually walked but which piqued my interest. I walked into the path to see what I would see. The path itself was not fascinating at all but it paid off to look up. They are hotels perched on mountains. And all in the beautiful yellow colour that fits right in among the Mediterranean atmosphere of Greece. The mountains in the background radiate peace and calm for me. A simple picture without all the hustle and bustle of tourists. The photo would have been totally different if there were no clouds that day but I think it is just fitting in the picture. The clouds give it an even more dramatic effect.
The olive trees in the foreground bring more depth to the photo. Olive trees are also indicative of Crete. Everywhere you look, you see them. For me, this is a perfect Crete picture.
