The water is gone, the wind has subsided and the sun is setting. All you can hear on the Wadden Sea are the birds searching for their evening meal some distance away on the tide line. It is one of the most soothing moments you can experience.
Pictured is a Vollenhovense Bol sailing ship on a Wadden Sea mudflat at low tide during sunset one evening in summer. The mast reflected in the little bit of water still on remaining. The low viewpoint makes for a special image, and the long focal length provides compression, showing off the ship and the sun both beautifully.
