The Heilige Geesthofje in Naaldwijk is a part of the old center of Naaldwijk. In the past these houses were inhabited mainly by the poorest people of the garden village. The hofje was founded in 1496. Last century the management of the hofje was taken over by the municipality of Naaldwijk. The chapel, at the back of the picture, is still in use as a wedding chapel. The houses are still inhabited and are, of course, adapted to the times of today. The exterior of the houses, however, still breathes the times "of yesteryear". Entering the courtyard feels like going back in time. Peace, tranquility, simplicity, all feelings can come over you. From the photo I made a digital creation. A touch of Monet over it, and the digital painting was born. Beautiful on your wall, beautiful in many interiors. A piece of Dutch history, an atmospheric image of the past, will be beautifully displayed in many places.
