Some details of the Tram Bridge in Schipluiden. This iron bicycle bridge can be found in Schipluiden. The bridge is over the Vlaardingervaart canal and was built between 1910 and 1912. The bridge was made using rivets. Very special. You can see them in this detail photo. I took the photo during a bike ride on a beautiful Sunday morning. I converted the original colour photo to black and white. The original colour of the bridge is green, but I think this black and white version, with the cool clouds in the background, looks a bit more cool. Fitting in an industrial setting, interior. The iron beams form a cool pattern, which at first looks confusing. However, if you calmly look at the details and follow the lines, the admiration and appreciation will surely come. A bridge that is over a hundred years old and used by many cyclists every day. Unique to the beautiful area, which Schipluiden lies in, called Midden Delfland.
