This photo of a flying pine I made on the Hulshorsterzand near Hulshorst in the municipality of Nunspeet on the Veluwe. The Hulshorsterzand is a fairly large sand drift that you can find in the forest Leuvenum. For this photo of a Scots pine I used 2 Nikon SB700 reportage flash units to light, because I had to set the flash units on manual I had to walk back and forth a few times before the flash units were properly set. It is part of strobist photography. As you can see I exposed this big pine tree from below, both my strobes were on the ground. On the lower branch you can see the shadow of a flash bag. I had the sunlight against me as you can see in the top left corner of the photo.
