The pictures are created in an intuitive process in which incompleteness, disorder and chaos are permitted. They are deliberately not planned. Thin lines contrast the large areas. When creating this picture, a balance is created between graphic and painterly elements.
Different layers, some transparent, some opaque, allow individual graphic elements to shine through and thus create an exciting picture in which there is much to discover.
Fine structures and a lively application of colour create a deliberately tactile and disordered impression. The paintings are always inspired by the graphic elements of the artists' design and urban environment. Scale plays an important role in our creative exploration and we experiment with the ways in which they relate to each other. Whether it's contrasting large backgrounds with precise lines or arranging different shapes in a balanced format, this tension between elements gives our work depth and expressiveness.
The combination of surface and line is not only a creative challenge for us, but also a way of conveying emotions and concepts.
