Tortuguero National Park was also one of the parks I visited during my tour of Costa Rica.
In this park, I spotted many birds, as well as crocodiles, sloths and several iguanas.
But I also saw this Green Basilisk sitting there on a tree stump.
Its beautiful green colour fascinated me, as did its gaze with its yellow eyes.
Because this Green Basilisk remained sitting so beautifully, it looked like it was posing for me, I photographed it looking at me like this.
This species is also known as Jesus or Jesus Christ lizard, because of its ability to run across the water for several tens of metres.
