About "Gotcha!"

About the artwork

A beautiful Common Kingfisher / kingfisher with a small fish immediately after emerging from the splashing water.

The spread wings and splashing water make this picture very special and extremely beautiful!

The splashing colours of the kingfisher, a true fish-eater, are beautiful blue on the top and orange on the bottom with a little white on the side of the head.

A male thereby has a completely dark (black) coloured bill while the female's bill is coloured orange on the underside.

Kingfishers are territorial and live alone until they find a mate and mate in spring. After the little ones are independent, they are forced to catch fish by themselves and then chased away. The adult pair, female and male, then basically go their separate ways. Kingfishers can have a nest with young up to three times in the same year.

Although hard to find in the Netherlands, you can of course, if you pay close attention, sometimes see kingfishers flying by low over the water in a flash.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
