Tips for use
  • Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
  • Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
  • Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
  • The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
  • Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

Beta feature. You need an AR-capable device (a recent iPhone/iPad or Android). The AR view is only an indication; colour, size and finish may differ in reality.

About ‘German torsos (with an airplane and a Volkswagen van)’ by Ruben van Gogh - smartphoneart

Contours of the torsos of a man and woman, filled with bubble wrap and the German flag. In the background a Volkswagen Transporter T3 and an airplane.
An ode with a nod to national characteristics of, in this case, the German nationality. Just a nice and brightly colored pop art piece.

Original created by Ruben van Gogh - smartphoneart.

Although working as a lyrical chronicler, sometimes I see things that are not there; I photograph and edit them.
Recurring elements are: carved mannequins (humanoids) and anonymous 19th century paintings. Working from 100cm I come to sign (Nl only).
