About the artwork

This special and cheerful artwork with rainbow colours was created by combining traditional techniques with modern technologies.
As a basis, I took a photo of rainbow colours. A rainbow in nature and its colours are always a source of inspiration for me, which I like to use in my works of art. I find a rainbow in nature a particularly fascinating sight and its colours symbolise freedom. The freedom to be who you want to be.
Secondly, I made a painting of a geometric pattern. with fanning lines. I executed this painting in black and white, adding different shades of grey in a beautiful gradient.
Combining the two together creates an extraordinary work of art. A graphic figure with rainbow colours that have a beautiful gradient: the colours go from bright to soft pastel and finally to white. The pastel-coloured triangles appear to be translucent.
To further emphasise the coloured triangles, they are separated by white lines. And to make the whole artwork even more special, I digitally added a nice pattern of small spots to give the colourful artwork even more texture.
All the lines and triangles in this geometric pattern go to the centre of the artwork and come together there in a 12-sided figure, executed in soft yellow.
This graphic pattern continues to fascinate you, your imagination even making the triangles rotate around the centre point.
