About ‘Fray Bentos’ by Marco Rutten
The Uruguayan town of Fray Bentos was once home to one of the largest factories for meat extract products such as stock cubes and corned beef. As production was largely unautomated, it lost the competition in the '70s. The abandoned factory is now an Urbex site (museum). This is the plant's operating room.
