About ‘Fluid’ by Birgit Gerritsen

Fluid is a collage of pieces of fabric and acrylic paint. The dancer's movements flow into the decorations on the fabrics. Since childhood, I have had a thing for dance. I myself used to do classical ballet and modern dance as a hobby and have been dancing flamenco for about'25 years (with intervals of not dancing). I admire the beauty of dancers' expression and mastery of their bodies. Making this collage, I danced myself while sketching across the canvas. The canvas itself currently hangs in a restaurant in Málaga.

As a young girl I grew up next to a farm in the east of the Netherlands. I was always outside with the animals and drawing. I always said: 'When I'm older I want to be an artist and a farmer'
Now in 2024, about 50 years later, I live in a finca in the interior of Andalusia and combine creating art with teaching and running a vegan B&B: creating an oasis in nature and sharing it with my love , some animals and guests.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
