When flamingos rest, they usually stand on one leg. Flamingos may live in tropical regions, but from standing in the water all day, they quickly get cold. By raising one leg, they can better regulate their temperature. One leg stays nice and warm against the body and the other braves the cold water. Does the water leg get too cold?
