Faces in Cubism - Between Rainbow and Silence - A Procession of Faces in the Matt Glamour of Perception

by AidasignArt

This panoramic work unfolds like a silent procession of faces in the style of Cubism, appearing at once familiar and enraptured. They shine out at the viewer in the softly shimmering colours of the rainbow - matt and shiny, yet without metallic hardness, like beings between dream and reality. Their wide-open eyes carry a quiet intensity: they watch, observe and seem to sense the invisible beyond the pictorial space.

The composition follows a fine choreography of lines of vision. At the left edge of the picture, the faces turn outwards, into an invisible distance; but the orientation changes with the central figure. Suddenly the gaze is directed frontally forwards - a moment of encounter arises in which the work becomes a mirror and the viewer himself becomes part of the action.

Instead of metallic surfaces, the figures are surrounded by a velvety, almost ethereal lustre. It lends them an aura of lightness and depth at the same time - as if they were hovering between visibility and mystery.

The work thus opens up a space between closeness and rapture, presence and dream. It invites you to mirror your own perception in the play of colours and gazes - and to discover a quiet reflection of your own being in their matt glow.
