About "Erfurt Marktstraße at Christmas"

About the artwork

The picture shows Erfurt's Marktstraße in the run-up to Christmas - a central axis of the old town, captured in a moment between everyday life and festive atmosphere. Rectangular light elements hang above the cobbled street, structuring the space like illuminated windows. Historic buildings with festively decorated shop windows line the street, while the striking tower of a church rises in the background. People move through the scene, lending the picture a lively but unagitated dynamism. The tram tracks lead the viewer's gaze into the depths and connect the various pictorial elements.

Marktstraße is a historically evolved part of Erfurt, characterised by trade, encounters and urban change. Especially at Christmas time, it becomes a place where tradition and the present meet.

My inspiration was to visualise this special mixture of movement, light and history. The aim was to create an authentic portrayal of the city in December - without exaggeration, but with an eye for atmosphere.

The image conveys a feeling of urban warmth and seasonal familiarity. It invites the viewer to engage with the small details of everyday life.

In an interior setting, this work brings a calm, atmospheric depth - ideal for rooms seeking a combination of city life and festive contemplation.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
