About the artwork

The picture shows Erfurt's Krämerbrücke during the Advent season - captured in a black and white composition that focuses on structure, light and atmosphere. The narrow, cobbled street is lined with historic buildings whose windows and façades are decorated with subtle Christmas lights. Strings of lights and shining stars stretch across the street like a festive canopy.

The Krämerbrücke is one of Erfurt's most famous landmarks and unique in Europe: a completely built-up bridge with continuous residential and commercial use. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages and makes it a central symbol of the city's identity.

My inspiration for this image was the combination of tradition and seasonal mood - reduced to the essentials. The decision to use black and white was a deliberate one, in order to let the festive scenery take effect through contrasts and lighting rather than colour.

The atmosphere is calm, almost reverent. The picture invites you to focus on the details - on the interplay of architecture, light and season. It conveys a sense of permanence and quiet anticipation.

In an interior, this work acts as a calm, stylish accent. It combines local history with timeless aesthetics and is particularly suitable for rooms that need to radiate clarity and depth.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
