About "Erfurt Krämerbrücke at Christmas black and white"

About the artwork

The picture shows the Krämerbrücke in Erfurt at Christmas time - taken in black and white to emphasise the structure and atmosphere of the place. The narrow, cobbled street is lined with historic buildings, above which festive fairy lights are strung. Some passers-by are recognisable as blurred silhouettes, lending the image a subtle dynamism.

The Krämerbrücke is a central landmark of Erfurt and one of the few fully built bridges in Europe. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages and it is still a lively place with small shops and flats.

My inspiration for this picture was the special atmosphere of the pre-Christmas period in the old town - not loud or cluttered, but calm and atmospheric. The decision to use black and white was a conscious one: it reduces the motif to light, form and movement and thus creates a timeless visual language.

The atmosphere is restrained and contemplative. The picture invites you to pause and discover the details of the scene - a moment between past and present.

In an interior, this work acts as a calm, stylish accent. It combines local identity with graphic clarity and is particularly suitable for rooms that are looking for a combination of tradition and modern aesthetics.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
