About the artwork

Elephant close-up.
Elephants belong to the family Elephantidae and the order Proboscidea. Their closest relatives are the extant manatees and the cliff-dwellers with whom they form the clade Paenungulata within the superorder Afrotheria. Elephants and manatees are further classified in the clade Tethytheria. Traditionally, two elephant species are recognized: the African elephant (Loxodonta africana) from sub-Saharan Africa and the Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) from South and Southeast Asia. African elephants have larger ears, a rounded back, more wrinkled skin, and two finger-like tips at the tip of their trunks. The Asian elephant has smaller ears, a convex back, smoother skin, and one finger-like end on the tip of the trunk. The rounded ridges on the molars are narrower in the Asian elephants, while those of the African elephant are more diamond shaped. In addition, the Asian elephant has bumps on its head and some depigmentation spots.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
