An ecoprint made with an ancient Dutch wild plant: the comfrey. You have probably seen it at the roadside with its large rough leaves and clusters of pink or white flowers. A real insect attractor, when I harvested this plant it had already finished flowering.
It made a special ecoprint. You could even say it failed.....because the plant itself did not leave a print, but it did leave a very nice silhouette! The print is made on a soft cotton flannel, this fabric expression is nicely reflected in the image. The faded blue colour comes from the natural pigment bluewood used to make the ecoprint.
