Still life of flowers in a transparent vase. Ink over watercolour, black and brown on soft blue. The contrast between the dark flowers and the pastel blue, combined with the dripping blue paint make this work an eye catcher in any interior.

Catharina Mastenbroek (Amsterdam, 02-10-1965) is a visual artist. She lives and works in Amstelveen (Netherlands). Started as a sculptor she now makes two-dimensional work in the techniques watercolour, pastel, charcoal, pencil and collage. Tone, colour and form, that's what my work is all about, but above all colour. My teacher calls me a colorist. She has a website where you can see more of her work: Visit shop
