These cats have a first date. It's cosy with the evening red. He a beer, She a wine - he does impress with his bow tie on.

Drinking on first date is a painting made with acrylic paint using mainly the pallet knife. When I start painting I can't really stop, the drive to keep going is great. During the painting process, the colours are created. This work of art with humour is intended for the cheerful person. It is painted for the dining table or dining room, but don't let that stop you from hanging it anywhere else. It is intended for the cat lover and for anyone who wants something different. Place this painting in a rather dull and neat interior.... This will certainly give it a boost. It is also very cheerful for the children's room.

Loekie Grijspaardt was born in Scheveningen (1958) and feels very much at home in The Hague. As a child, she started drawing mandelas. With the advent of felt-tip pens in the early 1960s, her father had to hide them because they were unaffordable at the time. The intense colours were the beginning of her inspiration. While her children were growing up, there was little time for creativity. She was able to express herself in the frame-making shop which she started at a young…
