About the artwork

This macro photo of the butterfly species the Pied Sandman shows you what we as humans would normally not easily see with the naked eye, opening up the wonderful world of macro photography. The focus is on the head and part of the body of this butterfly, which is enjoying the sunshine among the leaves. The blurred wings and background give a dreamy effect to the image. You do see certain patterns in the wings as the sun hits them. The colour palette is very fine, giving it a certain tranquillity. The photo was deliberately taken from below because we don't often see butterflies like this. The photographer was lucky that this butterfly wanted to pose long enough, and posing she certainly does!

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
