About ‘Dragon of the Dutch Dunes’ by Charlotte Bakker

Between the sand hills and the grass stalks in the dunes of Schoorl (North Holland) you will find these dragons, the dragonflies. You can see the hundreds of little eyes, with which it keeps an eye on its surroundings. As you sit on a bench enjoying the landscape and silence, you can even hear them eating their prey, the nibbling and crunching. The beautiful wings give off a rainbow of colour in the sunlight.

The picture was taken while testing a new camera, and after seeing this result, I fell in love with the camera and its power. Besides, the model stayed very nicely seated and showed off all sides. You can still feel the tranquillity and summer sun in the afternoon when seeing this photo, that feeling hopefully radiates to the viewer of this photo.

A dragonfly symbolises change and light. Let this work be your light in space.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
