About ‘Kotor by night’ by Charlotte Bakker

Kotor is one of the older castle cities in Montenegro. The city was formerly used by the Venetians (Italy) as an eastern defence on the Adriatic. No wonder then that the city makes you think of the small streets of Venice, minus the canals, boats and hordes of tourists.

The many squares make the city bustling and the narrow alleys give you enough shade to still enjoy the city on the hot days, both in the early morning hours and in the late sultry evenings. Kotor has many small boutiques selling mostly handmade trinkets.

This picture shows a woman taking care of a cat. Kotor has many street cats, which are well cared for by the locals and so are really a part within the city walls. I also believe they had a big role in medieval society in pest control.

The contrast in the picture radiates warmth, as does that which the woman radiates to the cat. A picture for the wall, a small illumination in the darkness of the city.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
