The forest of Amerongen on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug in the Netherlands is one of it's oldest forest. Because of that the trees are almost of an un-dutch height. This morning a haze hang in the forest, giving the sunlight an ethereal glow.
The photograph made me think of the famous photograph of New York Central Station where the rays of sunlight illuminate the pedestrians down below. In this case it was not the pedestrians life that was illuminated, but the calmth and the tranquality of the forest that was enforced by the sun rays.
