About ‘Soca gorge in Slovenia’ by Peter Nolten

Tucked away between a road and a mountainside is the Soca Gorge. A quiet gorge with ice-cold, but extraordinary turquoise water. Such a beautiful location must be photographed.

I came here in the middle of summer, very early in the morning. To make sure I had the location to myself and could take my time to find the right composition. With the stream on the left and the water of the gorge through the middle, the water forms a nice anchor in the image. The walls of the gorge make a frame for this particular image.
