This is a photograph taken in rural France as the sun barely shows through the heavy mist one late autumn morning. I was drawn to the light of the soft sun reflected in the slow trickle of water, and your eye is drawn into the distance, inviting you to move forward.
The light changes all the time and I was particularly drawn to this spot because the mist helped to separate foreground and background perfectly. I have added some subtle texture to give it an aged and worn feeling.
My style is inspired by the Pictorialist movement, and I am drawn to dark images, and particularly like photographing in the winter.
