Train of the Dampf Bahn Furka-Bergstrecke, pulled by steam locomotive FO 4, enters Furka station from the tunnel on its way to Realp.

The Dampfbahn Furka-Bergstrecke, also known as the Furka Cogwheel Steam Railway, is a scenic narrow-gauge railway in Switzerland. The railway is located in the canton of Uri and Valais in Switzerland, connecting Realp in Uri with Oberwald in Valais. Originally opened in 1914 as a rack railway, the line was closed in 1982 due to the construction of a railway tunnel under the Furka Pass.
Today, the Dampfbahn Furka-Bergstrecke is mainly a tourist attraction. The trains are pulled by steam locomotives, adding to the nostalgic atmosphere of the journey. It offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.

Seasonal Operation: The railway is usually open from June to October, as the area is often covered in a thick layer of snow in winter. In short, the Dampfbahn Furka-Bergstrecke offers travellers the chance to explore a beautiful piece of Swiss Alpine scenery in a unique and historic way.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
