Collage featuring a girl, a butterfly, a flower and graphic lines by MadameRuiz

Poetry collage featuring a girl, a butterfly, a flower and graphic lines

This artwork combines the gentle nostalgia of old poetry illustrations with the raw energy of contemporary collage art. At the centre stands a dreamy girl, depicted subtly and almost transparently, as if she were emerging from a memory or an old album. Her delicate appearance contrasts beautifully with the bold black lines, graphic patterns, brushstrokes and torn layers of paper surrounding her.

The collage plays with contrasts: sweet and powerful, vintage and modern, soft and bold. The butterfly, flowers and botanical details evoke classic poetry albums and romantic prints, whilst the abstract shapes, stripes, dots and dark lines lend the work a contemporary design aesthetic. The greyed-out tones, soft skin-coloured accents and black-and-white contrasts create a layered, artistic atmosphere.

This piece fits well in a modern interior, a creative workspace, a teenager’s bedroom or an artistic living environment. It is a unique piece of wall art for lovers of mixed media, collage, vintage illustrations and poetic art with a quirky edge. The combination of childlike tenderness and powerful graphic elements ensures the image remains intriguing, allowing you to discover new details time and again.
